My love for photography started when I took a film photography at Hempfield High School as a sophomore. Nowadays, I have a Bachelors degree and (almost!) Masters in Art Education. During my studies, I concentrated in graphic design and photography and began my career teaching film photography at the high school level. Altogether, I've been photographing for 16 years... which is crazy to say out loud!

I work full-time as the Communications Manager for my church. My photography season typically extends from May to October. However, feel free to inquire - I do make special circumstances based on my availability!

I strongly encourage anyone who books with me to have a steady texting thread or phone conversations! I am more than happy to provide guidance, location selection, clothing choice recommendations and generally say "hello!" before the shoot date. I believe it is a big part of feeling comfortable and getting to know one another!

Yes, I apply a natural finish to my photographs. This could involve focusing on stray hairs, blemishes, wardrobe malfunctions and background distractions as a part of my editing process. I don't "Photoshop" anyone, and I carefully maintain the natural appearance of the photo. My philosophy is purely to remove anything that takes away from the moment in a negative light.

Each full session yields a minimum of 60 color photographs and optional additions rendering the images in black and white as well. Shorter time length sessions have a lower minimum, and longer sessions naturally have a larger gallery size.

All photographs are delivered in a beautiful digital gallery with download and printing options built in. I also offer a specialized gallery app that provides direct gallery access (no need to go back through email searching for gallery links!) that links straight to your photo session!

My turnaround time for shoots (portraits, families, engagements) is 1-2 weeks and for weddings it's 6-8 weeks. I don’t rush my editing because I want to make sure to give each image the love it deserves.

Living in Western Pennsylvania, we kind of have to expect all four seasons in one day... :) But in all seriousness, if a session should get completely rained out, it will of course be honored and rescheduled as soon as our mutual schedules allow!
