The FAQ

How long have you been doing this?

My love for photography started when I took a film photography at Hempfield High School as a sophomore. Nowadays, I have a Bachelors degree and (almost!) Masters in Art Education. During my studies, I concentrated in graphic design and photography and began my career teaching film photography at the high school level. Altogether, I've been photographing for 15 years... which is crazy to say out loud!

How do I book with you?

Please fill out the contact form and if I am available for your date, I will happily go through the booking process to see exactly what package works best for you! I ask for a 20% deposit and a signed contract to reserve your date.

What is your availability? When do you schedule?

My photography season extends from May to September. My passion is teaching, and I purposefully do not take clients during the main stretch of the school year to devote time to my students.

Can you help us with planning?

I strongly encourage anyone who books with me to have a sit down meet-and-greet, either in person (the White Rabbit is my go-to!) or virtually at your convenience. The purpose of the meeting is to provide guidance, location selection, clothing choices and generally say "hello!" I believe it is a big part of feeling comfortable and getting to know one another.

Do you retouch photos?

Yes, I apply a natural finish to my photographs. This could involve focusing on stray hairs, blemishes, wardrobe malfunctions and background distractions as a part of my editing process. I don't "Photoshop" anyone, and I carefully maintain the natural appearance of the photo. My philosophy is purely to remove anything that takes away from the moment in a negative light.

How many photos do we get?

Each full session yields a minimum of 35 color photographs and an optional gallery rendering the images in black and white as well. Shorter time length sessions have a lower minimum, and longer sessions naturally have a larger gallery size.

How do we get our photos?

All photographs are delivered in a beautiful digital gallery with download and printing options built in. I also offer a specialized gallery app that provides direct gallery access (no need to go back through email searching for gallery links!) that links straight to your photo session!

What is your turn around time?

My turnaround time for shoots (portraits, families, engagements) is 1-2 weeks and for weddings it's 6-8 weeks. I don’t rush my editing because I want to make sure to give each image the love it deserves.

What if it rains for our session?

Living in Western Pennsylvania, we kind of have to expect all four seasons in one day... :) But in all seriousness, If a session should get completely rained out, it will of course be honored and rescheduled as soon as our mutual schedules allow!
